The art collection of Rosario and Horacio Subirá comprises fifty eight (58) individual works of art,each work herein listed as a separate lot.
The works in this collection are representative examples of the best-known artists in the Puerto Rico and international art market, including Arana, Botello, Garcia, Erté, Homar, Martinó, Raquel Rivera, Rosado del Valle, Ruiz, Tufiño and Vasarely.To reach the statements of value in our appraisalwe have contacted museum curators,gallery directors, auctioneers at Sotheby’s and Christie’s, art collectors and independent agents. Whenever possible, when analyzing prints and multiple works, we directly contacted theagents and galleries that personally managed the artists to obtain the present market value of the works being examined. These values where then measured against auction sale values from 2012 to 2019. Comparative values for original single works such as oilon canvas, drawings,and sculptures, as well as prints and multiple works were established by analyzing the values of up to ten comparable works by the same artist inthe most recent auctions, including May 2019.
